In 1829, the first gold rush in America began in Georgia near the lands of the Cherokee. 'Moon Eyes', a short horror film currently in pre-production, is set in this era. In 'Moon Eyes', a Cherokee warrior must face greedy prospectors before battling an ancient mysterious enemy. Written and directed by Alston Jones, principle photography will also take place on his family's tree farm which was once Cherokee land. We are excited to bring a film set in Cherokee history starring Cherokee actors back to their original homeland. Currently the screenplay is a Semi-Finalist in the Atlanta Film Festival and plans are for production to begin in April 2023. We are seeking donations to help fund our efforts. An Indiegogo campaign will start soon but any donations given through this site will be rewarded with a private link to the final film when it's available.
